Monitoring as an overlay on the BMS you already have, across every site
GSS Analytix does not replace your BMS, SCADA or DCIM: it is a layer on top. Phantom Shield reads the brownfield equipment a single-building system does not cover well at a distance (generators, UPS, batteries, HVAC, meters, CCTV, fuel), and Reveal concentrates health, alerts and evidence for multisite operations, while the BMS keeps controlling each building as it does today.
What the overlay covers beyond a typical BMS
- Equipment outside a single-building BMS: generators, UPS units, battery banks and fuel tanks at remote sites
- HVAC and energy meters the BMS already sees in one building, but not in one dashboard across all sites
- CCTV, access and cabinets whose health the BMS does not correlate with power, temperature or backup
- Signals from the existing BMS, SCADA or DCIM, read over BACnet, Modbus, OPC UA, SNMP, MQTT or HTTP/REST, with no firmware changes
- Alerts, time-stamped history and natural-language queries across the full set of sites
GSS Analytix does not take over local BMS control: each building keeps running on the system you already have, without replacing the BMS.
What it solves versus a BMS-only approach
A BMS controls one building well. In operations with dozens or hundreds of sites, critical assets often sit outside that view: generators and UPS units in shelters, tanks, cabinets, cameras and meters at remote sites. Replacing every BMS or standing up a new SCADA per site is expensive and slow. The GSS Analytix overlay uses what is already installed and delivers one health and alert view, with no civil works and no controller swap.
How it works as an overlay, not a replacement
- 1Connect. Phantom Shield, physical or virtual, reads the BMS, SCADA, DCIM or standalone equipment over BACnet, Modbus, OPC UA, SNMP, MQTT or HTTP/REST. Where wiring is hard, Modbus-to-LoRaWAN converters carry the readings; where a device has no data output, existing cameras can read its indicators.
- 2Collect. Continuous reads with local storage on the gateway (store and forward): if the internet drops, data stays on the gateway and syncs on reconnect, without touching the BMS control logic.
- 3Normalize. Reveal maps every signal into a common semantic layer (Brick), so a generator, a chiller or a meter at one site compares with those at another, even when each building's BMS is different.
- 4Analyze. Reveal learns each device's normal behavior and correlates events a single-building BMS never sees together: a generator that fails to start, a temperature spike and a degrading UPS at the same site, or the same pattern across many sites.
- 5Act. Alerts via WhatsApp, email or ticketing, audit-ready reports and, on equipment that supports it, logged automatic actions. The BMS still runs the building; Reveal adds the multisite view and the evidence.
Results in real operations
High-complexity medical center, Colombia
7 backup generators, 17 energy metering points and 2 fire detection systems: 26 primary connections in one platform, with an alert when a generator starts running without a scheduled outage.
Nationwide telecom operator
Remote protection and monitoring of cabinets and backup batteries at 460 sites: 85% fewer vandalism events and USD 2.3 million in real savings, at sites a building BMS does not reach.
Shopping center, Bogotá
3 Phantom Shield L0 gateways and 10 primary connections for water and electrical control.
Who it is for
- Facilities and operations teams that already have a BMS (or SCADA/DCIM) per site and need a multisite layer without replacing it
- Telecom, hospital, retail, shopping-center and free-trade-zone operators with brownfield equipment outside the BMS
- OT/IT teams that must correlate power, HVAC, backup and CCTV without unifying BMS brands

FAQ: monitoring as an overlay on an existing BMS
Does GSS Analytix replace my BMS?
No. Reveal works as a layer on top of the BMS, SCADA or DCIM you already have. Phantom Shield reads those systems and brownfield equipment; the BMS keeps controlling the building as it does today.
Which assets does the overlay cover that a single-building BMS usually leaves out?
Generators, UPS units, battery banks, fuel tanks, meters, HVAC at other sites, CCTV and cabinets at remote sites. It can also read signals from the BMS itself to concentrate them in a multisite dashboard.
Do I need to change BMS brand or install a new SCADA at every site?
No. Phantom Shield connects over BACnet, Modbus, OPC UA, SNMP, MQTT or HTTP/REST to what is already installed. You do not have to unify BMS brands or do civil works.
How are power, HVAC, backup and CCTV correlated if each system lives apart?
Reveal normalizes the signals in a common semantic layer (Brick) and correlates them. A temperature spike, an electrical anomaly and a UPS event at the same site tell a story no single system sees alone.
Does it work if I already have SCADA or DCIM as well as a BMS?
Yes. Reveal works on top of SCADA or DCIM the same way it works on top of a BMS: it reads what exists, adds analytics, alerts and the multisite view, without installing a new SCADA at each site.
What evidence and alerts does the BMS overlay provide?
Alerts via WhatsApp, email or ticketing, time-stamped history for audits and SLAs, and natural-language queries across all sites. Every automatic action is logged.
How is a BMS-overlay project sized?
By primary connection: each device, gateway or data source connected through Phantom Shield counts as one. Tell us how many sites you have and which systems you already run, and we prepare a proposal.
How many sites and which BMS or assets do you want to cover?
Projects are sized by primary connection. Tell us how many sites you have, which BMS, SCADA or DCIM you already run and which assets sit outside that view, and we prepare an overlay proposal with no replacement.
