Remote facility monitoring for bank branches: HVAC, power and security across the whole network in one view

Remotely supervising a bank's branches does not require replacing their equipment: each branch gets a Phantom Shield gateway, physical or virtual, that reads the HVAC, power, UPS units, alarms, access control and CCTV already installed. The Reveal platform shows the whole branch network in one view, correlates security events with each site's power and climate, and keeps time-stamped evidence for audits. This guide explains what is supervised at each branch, how it works, how the data is protected, when you don't need it and where the same model already runs.

What is supervised at each branch

  • Climate: air conditioners, temperature and humidity in the customer area, the communications room and equipment areas
  • Power: consumption, power quality and supply outages at each branch, compared across sites
  • Backup: UPS autonomy, battery bank voltage and health and, where the branch has one, the generator's status
  • Intrusion and fire alarms: activations, zones in fault and panels that stop communicating
  • Access control: door and cabinet openings outside the defined schedule
  • CCTV: recorders offline, cameras down, disks with errors and recordings that stop
  • IoT sensors where equipment was never instrumented, for example temperature or opening sensors

Each branch connects through its own gateway and all of them share the same view, with the same rules and alerts, even when their equipment comes from different brands and eras.

How it works: from each branch's equipment to one view

  1. 1Connect. Phantom Shield, physical or virtual, reads the branch's existing equipment and panels over BACnet, Modbus, OPC UA, SNMP, MQTT or HTTP/REST, with no firmware or hardware changes. With a cloud-hosted virtual gateway, no additional hardware is installed at the site.
  2. 2Collect. Readings arrive continuously, with local storage on the gateway (store and forward): if the internet drops at the branch, the data stays on the gateway and syncs when the connection returns.
  3. 3Normalize. Reveal maps every signal to a common semantic layer (Brick), so an air conditioner, a UPS or a recorder of any brand reads the same way at every branch.
  4. 4Correlate. At each branch, Reveal crosses security events with power and climate, and compares branches with each other to separate an isolated fault from a pattern that repeats across the network.
  5. 5Act. Alerts go out by WhatsApp, email or ticketing to whoever needs to act, and every event is kept in a time-stamped history, from detection to resolution.

How the branch's data is protected

In sensitive contexts such as CCTV, Phantom Shield is deployed read only for cybersecurity: it reads the status of the equipment without changing its configuration. GSS Analytix can control equipment and chooses not to where operational risk warrants it.

Every gateway firmware release is signed and rolled out in stages or fleet wide, and new gateways use zero-touch provisioning, which makes it easier to add branches without sending technicians to configure them one by one.

What you see when security, power and climate are crossed

A power outage, a UPS losing autonomy and a camera that stops recording at the same branch read as one incident, not as three alarms in three different systems. To do that, the Reveal Agent Control System (RACS) assigns an AI agent to each of 8 domains, from physical security and video surveillance to energy and batteries, and a central agent crosses them all.

The time-stamped history of every alarm, opening, recording failure and power outage is available as evidence for internal audits and compliance reviews, with no paper logbooks. It can also be queried in natural language, by text or voice, through a compatible LLM.

When a piece of branch equipment has no data output

If a panel, a climate unit or an electrical board offers no data output, the cameras already installed can read its indicators, and Reveal processes those images as one more signal. IoT sensors are added to equipment that was never instrumented and, where wiring is hard, Modbus-to-LoRaWAN converters carry the readings wirelessly.

When you don't need it

  • You run one or two branches and your team can check them in person every day
  • Your monitoring center already receives the status of climate, power, backup, alarms and CCTV for every branch in one view
  • You want to replace your alarms, cameras or air conditioners: Reveal works on top of what is already installed
  • You only need intrusion alarm reception, without supervising equipment health or crossing it with power and climate

If your network has dozens or hundreds of branches with equipment from different brands, and today a camera that isn't recording or a UPS with no autonomy is found during a visit or after an incident, that is where remote supervision changes how you operate.

FAQ: remote monitoring for bank branches

Which bank branch systems can be supervised remotely?

HVAC and the temperature of equipment areas, power and its quality, UPS units and battery banks, intrusion and fire alarms, access control and CCTV. Phantom Shield reads them at each branch and Reveal brings them into one view of the whole network.

Do the branches' alarms, cameras or air conditioners have to be replaced?

No. Phantom Shield reads the equipment and panels already installed, regardless of brand or age, over BACnet, Modbus, OPC UA, SNMP, MQTT or HTTP/REST, with no firmware or hardware changes.

How do you know each branch's CCTV is recording?

Reveal continuously checks every recorder, its disks and its cameras, and alerts when a recorder goes offline, a camera drops, a disk shows errors or recording stops, before the video of an incident is missing.

Is it safe to connect a branch's security equipment to a cloud platform?

In sensitive contexts such as CCTV, Phantom Shield is deployed read only for cybersecurity and does not change the equipment's configuration. Its firmware is signed and rolled out in stages or fleet wide.

What happens if the internet drops at a branch?

The gateway stores the readings locally (store and forward) and syncs them when the connection returns, so the branch's history has no gaps.

Does the history work as evidence for audits?

Yes. Every alarm, opening, recording failure, power outage and alert is logged with date and time, from detection to resolution, and is available for internal audits and compliance reviews.

How is monitoring for a branch network priced?

By primary connection: each piece of equipment, panel or data source connected through Phantom Shield counts as one. The proposal includes a one-time fee for equipment, installation and onboarding, plus a monthly service fee. Tell us how many branches and systems you have and we will prepare a proposal.

How many branches and which systems do you want to supervise?

Tell us how many branches you operate and what equipment each one has, and we will show you in a demo how Reveal brings their climate, power, backup and security into one view without replacing what you already have.
