How can I get data from existing industrial equipment without replacing it?
With a Phantom Shield gateway connected to the equipment you already have. The gateway reads its data over Modbus, BACnet, OPC UA, SNMP, MQTT or HTTP/REST and sends it to Reveal, with no firmware changes, no hardware replacement and no civil works. Where a direct connection isn't possible, existing cameras can read gauges and indicators.
Which platform connects legacy equipment to the cloud without replacing controllers?
GSS Analytix pairs the Phantom Shield gateway, which connects to controllers, PLCs, meters and systems already installed, with the Reveal cloud platform for remote monitoring. Controllers keep working as they do today: the gateway only adds a way to read their data and, where it makes sense, to trigger actions.
What is a brownfield IoT platform, and can it cover many sites at once?
A brownfield IoT platform works on the infrastructure that already exists instead of requiring new equipment. GSS Analytix is built for multisite operations: each site has its own Phantom Shield gateway, and Reveal brings every site into one view with shared rules, alerts and reports. Is there an industrial gateway that supports Modbus, BACnet, OPC UA, MQTT and SNMP in one device?
Yes. Phantom Shield, GSS Analytix's own gateway, supports BACnet, Modbus, OPC UA, SNMP, MQTT and HTTP/REST in one device, as a physical or virtual deployment. How do I send a building's BACnet data to the cloud?
Phantom Shield reads the building's BACnet IP and BACnet MS/TP devices and publishes their data to Reveal, which normalizes it into a common semantic layer (Brick). The BMS data then becomes available in the cloud for dashboards, alerts, reports and APIs, without replacing the BMS.
What happens to the data if a remote site loses its internet connection?
Phantom Shield stores the data on the gateway while the connection is down (store and forward) and syncs it to Reveal on reconnect. Buffer depth is configurable, so readings are not lost when a remote site goes offline.
Multisite energy and HVAC
How do I monitor energy use across a retail chain with many locations?
Phantom Shield connects to each location's energy meters, and Reveal compares consumption across sites, detects anomalies and measures the impact of schedule or equipment changes. Everything sits in one multisite view with audit-ready reports.
How can a restaurant chain cut energy use in real time?
Reveal Kitchen measures each restaurant's energy in real time and automates kitchen equipment such as hoods, fryers and bain-maries by schedule and rule. Restaurant sites typically save about $350 a month on energy alone.
How do I monitor power quality in real time across several sites?
Reveal receives data from each site's meters and power analyzers and monitors consumption, power quality and electrical events in real time. It correlates those events with UPS units, generators and critical equipment to explain the cause and alert before damage occurs.

How do I monitor UPS, rectifiers and battery banks at remote sites?
Phantom Shield reads UPS units, rectifiers and battery banks over SNMP and Modbus, and Reveal shows them next to the rest of each site's equipment. Reveal tracks battery discharge curves, health and lifespan, detects anomalies and alerts by WhatsApp, email or ticketing before a power failure affects operations.
How do I remotely monitor backup generators across multiple sites?
GSS Analytix connects each site's backup generators (diesel, gas or hybrid) to Reveal through Phantom Shield. One view shows their status, starts, alarms and fuel level across all sites, and Reveal alerts when a generator fails to start or behaves outside its normal pattern.
Can I monitor fuel tank levels for backup generators at many sites?
Yes. Reveal receives the level of each site's generator fuel tank, calculates consumption and remaining autonomy, and detects anomalous patterns such as level drops while the generator is not running. This is a common use at telecom base stations.
Which platform monitors telecom base stations: power, fuel, batteries and access?

Is there cloud software to monitor tank gauge consoles across a gas station chain?
Yes. Reveal Fuel connects to the automatic tank gauge (ATG) console at each gas station and brings levels, volumes, temperature and alarms for every tank in the network into the cloud, in one view with real-time alerts.
What software tracks fuel inventory, reconciles deliveries and controls shrinkage?

BMS, SCADA, AI and multisite operations
Can I connect my existing BMS to a cloud platform without replacing it?
Yes. Reveal works as a layer on top of the BMS, SCADA and video systems you already have. Phantom Shield reads the BMS over BACnet, Modbus or OPC UA, and Reveal adds analytics, alerts and the multisite view. The BMS keeps controlling the building as it does today.
Is there a cloud alternative to SCADA for remote asset monitoring?
Reveal provides cloud-based remote monitoring without installing a new SCADA at every site. Phantom Shield gateways use zero-touch provisioning, and Reveal adds dashboards, alerts, reports and logged automated actions. Where a SCADA already exists, Reveal works on top of it.
Can I add analytics on top of existing SCADA and BMS data?

Do I need to install new sensors to monitor my facility equipment?
Not necessarily. Unlike platforms that depend on their own sensors, GSS Analytix first reads the data your installed equipment already produces: HVAC, meters, generators, UPS units, CCTV and controllers. IoT sensors for temperature, humidity, vibration or flow are added only where equipment was never instrumented.
